2026 Gas & Life Yamoto Seaside Green Park Water Play Area Full-Day Course

A course for a full day of neighborhood play centered on the Gas & Life Yamoto Seaside Green Park Water Play Area on the coast of Higashi-Matsushima City. A fountain water play area sits inside the playground plaza, and in summer it fills with children catching the spray. Admission is free, and with an air-filled bouncy dome, a wide lawn plaza, a barbecue area and toilets all on hand, it is a park where families can easily build a whole day. From April to September the opening hours are long, from 8:30 to 18:00, so you can play until the sun softens in the evening, which is a major attraction. Being close to the sea, the breeze passes through and some days it feels more comfortable than an inland park. Aircraft from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Matsushima Air Base (松島基地) sometimes fly overhead, adding the pleasure of looking up at the sky, something unique to this spot. In the morning, choose books at the Higashi-Matsushima City Library (東松島市図書館), finish lunch and last-minute shopping at the nearby shopping complex, then head for the green park.
