2026 Hinata Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park Splash Pool: Full-Day Course

This is a course for a full day of play close to home, starring the Hinata Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park Splash Pool in Miyazaki City. In 2026 it is open from Wednesday, July 15 to Sunday, August 30, from 10:00 to 15:00. It is closed every Monday and Tuesday, but Tuesday, August 11 is open because it is a public holiday. The opening was originally planned for Friday, July 10, but was changed to Wednesday, July 15 due to an inspection after a fault in the water-play facility. The venue is the playground area of Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park (宮崎県総合運動公園), where in addition to the roughly 10 cm deep splash pool there are large play structures and a lawn area, so you can go back and forth between the water and the playground. Admission is free, and parking is free on weekdays but paid on weekends and holidays. In the morning, visit Kinohana Shrine (木花神社), dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime, take in Sun Marine Stadium Miyazaki, known as a professional baseball training camp site, and savor the air of the Kinohana district. Have lunch on the lawn area inside the park, and in the afternoon head at last to the splash pool. Small children must be accompanied by a guardian, so adults should come dressed to get into the water too. Use may be suspended in rain or stormy weather, so be sure to check the weather on the day and any announcements from the park.
