2026 International Seaside Entrance Plaza South Entrance Babbling Brook Waterway: Full-Day Course
This is a seaside one-day course built around the International Seaside Entrance Plaza South Entrance Babbling Brook Waterway in Hitotsuba, Miyazaki City. The park's official information states clearly that the South Entrance has one water-play facility, the babbling brook waterway, where you can dip your toes into gently flowing water. It operates from 9:00 to 17:00 year-round, and being open in any season is this waterway's great appeal. Note, however, that on the one or two cleaning days each month the water is drained and use is suspended all day; the cleaning day in August 2026 is Monday, August 3, and on Monday, August 17 use may be restricted for lawn mowing. A lawn area and an English-style garden spread across the grounds, and the management building has a shower room plus vending machines, so getting ready after playing is no trouble. In the morning, pay a visit to Eda Shrine (江田神社), tied to the myths of Hyuga, then walk to Misogi Pond resting quietly deep in the grounds and take in the air of the Hitotsuba woods. After lunch, meet the animals at Miyazaki City Phoenix Zoo, and in the afternoon it is finally time for the babbling brook waterway. In the sea breeze that passes through the pine grove, you can stay until evening with the sound of water beside you. The waterway is slippery, so watch your footing and play at an easy pace.
