2026 Inari Park Water-Play Pond (稲荷公園 親水池) Full-Day Course
This one-day course close to the city center stars the Inari Park Water-Play Pond (稲荷公園 親水池) in Inari Park (稲荷公園), one of Toyama City's comprehensive parks. Toyama City's official introduction to its comprehensive parks lists the water-play pond among this park's facilities, developed as a place to enjoy being close to water. The operating period has not been announced, but in ordinary years water is supplied in two stretches, from spring to early summer and during the summer holidays. Use is free, and because the grounds include Wanpaku Playground, a sports field, an arbor, a lawn plaza and a combination play structure, children who tire of the water perk up again as soon as they move to the equipment. With an arbor and a lawn plaza, it is also easy to plan a whole day in the park with a picnic. In the morning, get absorbed in dinosaurs and the planetarium at the Toyama Science Museum (富山市科学博物館), then stop by Hie Shrine (日枝神社), known affectionately as Sanno-san, to take in the atmosphere of the town. At lunch, return to Inari Park and lay out your bento beside the arbor, and in the afternoon kick up all the spray you like at the water-play pond. Every leg of the trip is short, and it is easy to get around by car or by tram and bus. Since the days are long in this season, you can play until evening at an unhurried pace.
