2026 Tokiwa Park Jabujabu Pond Full-Day Course
This is a full-day course built around Tokiwa Park Jabujabu Pond, a water play area in Tokiwa Park in Ube City that appears only in summer. A spot normally used as a fountain pond is converted for the summer season alone: 175 square meters in area with a water depth of about 20 cm, plus a mini slide, showers and parasols for shade. A temporary changing room is set up on the second floor of the rest house, so there is no trouble finding a place to change. The 2026 opening period has not been announced; the most recent opening confirmed on the official site ran from Saturday, July 27 to Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 10:30 to 16:00. The fees are also those from the 2024 opening: 200 yen per child of elementary school age or younger, free for accompanying guardians, and entry to the park itself is free. Since no opening announcement has been posted, be sure to check the official Tokiwa Park event information for operating status before you visit. Along with Tokiwa Zoo, the amusement park and the botanical hall, the grounds also hold a memorial museum telling the story of Ube coal industry, so there is no shortage of places to spend time before and after the water play. If you follow the flow of coal museum and zoo in the morning, lunch in between, then the Jabujabu Pond in the afternoon, all movement stays within the park. Diving is prohibited and outside food may not be brought in, so finish lunch before the water play.
