2026 Higashine Asobia Land Fountain Plaza: A Full Day of Fun

This course spends a full day close to home, starring Higashine Asobia Land Fountain Plaza at Higashine Asobia Land, the children's play park in Higashine City. According to the official notice (29 July 2026), from Saturday 25 July to Monday 31 August the fountain plaza's hours are extended to 9:00-17:00. Use may be suspended on rainy or windy days, so please check before setting out when the weather is unsettled. The park is open 9:00-18:00 from 1 April to 30 September, and admission is free. Because the fountains spout at random, there is no telling where the water will come from, and children cheer again and again. There is also a large net play structure inspired by the great zelkova, a mud slide, and a slope zone for sliding on the grass, so you can spend all day moving between water, mud and play equipment — that is the charm of this park. Play leaders are always on duty, and there are eating areas, a nursing room and a diaper-changing area, so it is reassuring even with a baby. In the morning, look up at the Great Zelkova of Higashine, a Special Natural Monument of Japan, and get a feel for local life at the Azuma-no-Mori Museum. Taste the bounty of the fruit-tree kingdom at the farm-direct market for lunch, then spend the afternoon getting thoroughly soaked at the fountain plaza.
