2026 Yamanashi Fujikawa Craft Park Grand Fountain: A Full Day of Fun
A full day of local fun built around the Grand Fountain at Yamanashi Fujikawa Craft Park in Minobu Town. Water shoots up at random from 125 holes and you can walk right in - a free water-play spot. It runs from late April to mid-October, 9:30-16:00, but the exact opening and closing dates have not been announced, so check the official website for the latest information before you set out. The park covers an area equal to about 11 Tokyo Domes and is open year-round, all day, with free admission. It has the Fort Playground, a Fuwafuwa bouncing dome for ages 3 to 12, the giant Flower Maze, lawn areas, a canoe pond and a barbecue area - more than you can cover in a single day. The Fujikawa Kirie no Mori Museum of Paper Cutting Art stands inside the park, and Michi-no-Eki Minobu roadside station is right next door. In the morning, taste Minobu's famous yuba at the roadside station and take in the delicate works at the museum; in the afternoon, get thoroughly drenched at the Grand Fountain.
