2026 Toyotomi Silk-no-Sato Park Stream Water Play Area: A Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of play close to home, built around the Toyotomi Silk-no-Sato Park Stream Water Play Area in Chuo City. You can play in the stream running through the park, and depending on the season there is also fish-catching by hand, all free of charge. The park is open 9:00 to 18:00 from April to September and 9:00 to 17:00 from October to March. The water play period has not been announced yet (usually summer), so check the official Chuo City website for the latest information before you set out. The grounds include a pond with a waterfall, the Mayu-no-Oka (Cocoon Hill) air dome, a space net, and a lawn area, so you can move between water and play equipment all day. The Silk Friendly hot spring facility and the Toyotomi Local History Museum (豊富郷土資料館) are also on site, so after playing you can wash off the sweat or learn about the history of this silk-farming town. The flow is a morning warm-up on the air dome and at the waterfall pond, then local flavors for lunch at the Michi-no-Eki Toyotomi roadside station. With little travel between stops, it is an easy day to arrange even with a younger child along.
Schedule
Morning outdoor play on the cocoon-shaped air dome and the space net
Lunch at the local farm stand, plus the specialty silk soft-serve ice cream
Water play in the stream running through the park, with the waterfall pond nearby
