2026 Kosai Fureai Park Jabu-jabu Pond: A Full Day of Fun
A course for spending a whole day close to home, starring the Kosai Fureai Park Jabu-jabu Pond in Minami-Alps City. The Jabu-jabu Pond, about 40 cm deep and fed by a waterfall, is open from late April through September, from 10:00 to 18:00, and admission is free. The exact opening and closing dates have not been announced, so please check the official Minami-Alps City website for the latest information before you set out. The park has play equipment including a roller slide and a zip line, a wide lawn, arbors and benches, so you can go back and forth between water play and outdoor play for a long stay. The Yamanami-no-Yu day-use hot spring is right next door, so you can also finish the day by freshening up before heading home. In the morning, experience life in the old days at the Ando Family Residence (安藤家住宅), an Edo-period farmhouse designated a National Important Cultural Property, then do some shopping and have lunch at Michi-no-Eki Shirane, in true fruit-growing country style. The water is a little deep at about 40 cm, so a guardian must always stay with small children. It is a handy water-play spot that stays open late into the evening.
Schedule
