2026 Full-Day Course: Yamanashi Prefectural Forest Park Kanegawa no Mori, Donguri no Mori Stream
This is a course for spending a full day playing close to home, centered on the Donguri no Mori Stream (どんぐりの森の小川) at Yamanashi Prefectural Forest Park Kanegawa no Mori (山梨県森林公園 金川の森) in Fuefuki City. This prefectural forest park spans about 36 hectares with six forest areas, and the Donguri no Mori Stream has small waterfalls and tunnels, offering free water play. The opening period has not yet been announced (typically summer), so check the park's official website for the latest information before heading out. The grounds also have a long roller slide, large play equipment, an obstacle course, and rental bicycles, and the feeling of riding through the forest on a bike is exceptional. With so many trees, shade is abundant, making this park relatively comfortable to visit even in midsummer — that's its strength. In the morning, visit Asama Shrine (浅間神社), known as the Ichinomiya of Kai Province, and at Sato-no-Eki Ichinomiya (里の駅いちのみや), enjoy shopping and lunch true to a region famous for peaches and grapes. This course lets you take in the orchard scenery of Ichinomiya-cho, Fuefuki City, while covering a manageable distance.
