2026 Ota Kita Park Wading Pool (太田北公園 徒渉池) Full-Day Course

A one-day course built around the Ota Kita Park Wading Pool (太田北公園 徒渉池), a children's pool at Ota Kita Park in the Nagara Nishi district of Gifu City (福光東1丁目34). In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 22 and August 29, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free, and as a rule it is for children in the third year of elementary school and under. Preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and it is closed for that day. In the morning, spend a cool spell with books at Minna no Mori Gifu Media Cosmos, striking for its great timber roof, then stroll through Gifu Park (岐阜公園) at the foot of Mt. Kinka (金華山). After lunch and a break around Gifu Park, it is on to the afternoon in the water. At the Ota Kita Park wading pool, spend a summer afternoon knee-deep in the shallows.
