2026 Kinen Park Wading Pool (金園公園 徒渉池) Full-Day Course
A one-day course that stays entirely in town, built around the Kinen Park Wading Pool (金園公園 徒渉池), a children's pool at Kinen Park in the Bairin district of Gifu City (金園町8丁目184-17). In 2026 it opens on a total of 31 days between July 21 and August 30, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free, and as a rule it is for children in the third year of elementary school and under. Preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and it is closed for that day. In the morning, walk in the shade of Bairin Park (梅林公園), which gave the district its name, then visit Inaba Shrine (伊奈波神社), the guardian shrine of Gifu. At lunchtime, eat and shop under the Yanagase arcade, out of the sun. In the afternoon it is time to dip your feet in the shallow water of the Kinen Park wading pool. Everything is close enough to get around entirely on foot or by bicycle.
