2026: A Full Day at Wakamatsu Park Wading Pool (若松公園 徒渉池)
This is a one-day course built around Wakamatsu Park Wading Pool (若松公園 徒渉池), a children's pool in Wakamatsu Park at 若福町16-2 in the Nagara-nishi district of Gifu City. In 2026 it opens on a total of 23 days between July 21 and August 20, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free, and it is intended in principle for children in the third grade of elementary school and younger. Preschool children must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants still in diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and it is closed for that day. In the morning, enjoy the play equipment and lawns to the full at Gifu Family Park, spread across the hills in the north of the city. After lunch, stop by Sofukuji Temple (崇福寺), known as the family temple of Lord Oda Nobunaga, and take in the quiet garden and the history. The afternoon is time to play soaked in the shallow water of the wading pool at Wakamatsu Park (若松公園).
