2026 Full-Day Course: Hakushu Ojiro-no-Mori Meisui Park Verga (白州・尾白の森名水公園べるが) Water-Play Plaza (親水広場)
A day spent in the land of famous water, centered around the Hakushu Ojiro-no-Mori Meisui Park Verga (白州・尾白の森名水公園べるが) Water-Play Plaza (親水広場) in Hakushu, Hokuto City. Since it's an artificially created shallow pool with flowing water, even babies and toddlers can enjoy it safely. It's open 9:00-17:00, closed on Wednesdays, except during the summer holiday period from July 19 through August 31, when it's open every day. The exact opening period for the season is not yet announced (typically summer), so check the official website for the latest information before you set out. Basic admission is free, but during the summer holiday period (7/19-8/31) only, visitors age 5 and up from outside Hokuto City pay a 200-yen admission fee per person (free for Hokuto City residents). The park has play equipment such as a rock wall, zip line, and slides, plus a fountain, a campground, the hot spring Ojiro-no-Yu (尾白の湯), and the goods-and-cafe spot sunny pick. In the morning, visit Michi-no-Eki Hakushu (道の駅はくしゅう), known for its spring water station, and Ojirakawa Gorge (尾白川渓谷), one of Japan's Top 100 Waters. It's a day for fully savoring the clear water born from South Alps groundwater, drinking it, watching it, and playing in it.
