Full-Day Course at Soden-higashi Park Wading Pool 2026

This is a one-day course built around the Soden-higashi Park Wading Pool (早田東公園 徒渉池), a children's pool in Soden-higashi Park (早田東公園) at 早田東町4丁目40 in the Soden district of Gifu City. In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 21 and August 7, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free, and it is intended in principle for children in the third grade of elementary school or younger. Preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and it is cancelled for that day. In the morning, move your body at the Gifu Memorial Center just a short walk away, then pay your respects at Inaba Shrine (伊奈波神社), the guardian shrine of all Gifu. For lunch, eat and stock up at the covered Yanagase Shopping Arcade, out of the sunlight. The afternoon is time to soak in the shallow water of the wading pool at Soden-higashi Park. Everything is linked by short hops, giving it the feel of a proper outing close to home.
