2026 Kamiiwasaki Park Wading Pool (上岩崎公園 徒渉池): A Full Day Course
This one-day course puts the spotlight on the Kamiiwasaki Park Wading Pool for Children (上岩崎公園 徒渉池), located in Kamiiwasaki Park in the Iwanoda district of Gifu City (岩崎字畑中676). In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 21 and August 10, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free of charge, and it is intended in principle for children up to the third grade of elementary school. Preschool children must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers may not use it. The opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check it before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and it closes for that day. In the morning, visit Mitahora Kobo Hokkeji Temple, dedicated to Kobo Daishi, and cool off in its quiet precinct among the hills. After that, enjoy the play equipment and lawns of Gifu Family Park, which spreads across the hillsides. In the afternoon, close out the day soaking in the shallow water of the Kamiiwasaki Park wading pool. It is a day of short trips, all within the northern part of the city.
