2026 Nagare Park Wading Pool (流公園 徒渉池): A Full Day Course
This one-day course puts the spotlight on the Nagare Park Wading Pool for Children (流公園 徒渉池), located in Nagare Park in the Iwa district of Gifu City (岩田字流5-54). In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 22 and August 10, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free of charge, and it is intended in principle for children up to the third grade of elementary school. Preschool children must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers may not use it. The opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check it before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and it closes for that day. In the morning, visit Tejikarao Shrine, known for the Tejikara Fire Festival, and cool off in a precinct surrounded by trees. After that, move to Kakamigahara Civic Park in neighboring Kakamigahara City for lunch and a break under the big rows of trees. In the afternoon, spend a summer afternoon soaking in the shallow water of the Nagare Park wading pool. It is an outing linked by short hops, from the eastern part of the city over into Kakamigahara City.
