2026 Gifu Prefectural Centennial Park (岐阜県百年公園) Splash Pond Full-Day Course
A full-day course built around the Splash Pond in Gifu Prefectural Centennial Park (岐阜県百年公園) in Seki City. In 2026 there is a preview opening on Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12, and the main season runs from Saturday July 18 to Sunday September 13 (weekends only in September), from 10:00 to 15:00. The park is closed every Monday, and when Monday is a public holiday it closes the following day instead. The shallow splash pond has a little slide and a fountain, and around it are large play structures and a grassy plaza. Use is free and parking is free too, which families will appreciate. During the summer holidays a splash pond summer festival is also held. In the morning, get a feel for the craft of Japanese sword making at the Seki Blacksmith Tradition Museum (関鍛冶伝承館), the landmark of Seki the city of blades, then learn about the nature and history of the prefecture at the Gifu Prefectural Museum (岐阜県博物館) inside the same Centennial Park. In the afternoon, enjoy plenty of water play at the splash pond until 15:00.
