2026 Kano Park Wading Pool (加納公園 徒渉池) Full-Day Course
A full-day course built around the Kano Park Wading Pool (加納公園 徒渉池), a children's paddling pool in Kano Park in the Kano district of Gifu City (Kano Marunouchi 4). In 2026 it opens on a total of 28 days between July 18 and August 24, from 13:00 to 16:00. With so many opening days, it is easy to fit into your summer holiday plans. Use is free, and it is intended in principle for children up to the third grade of elementary school. Preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers cannot use it. The opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the pool and it is closed for that day. Kano Park was laid out on the site of Kano Castle, and around it remain the streetscape of Kano-juku on the Nakasendo (中山道 加納宿) and Kano Tenmangu Shrine (加納天満宮). In the morning, walk through the shrine and the post town; at midday, take in the view and have lunch at Gifu City Tower 43 in front of JR Gifu Station. The afternoon is water play in the park on the castle site, making a day where history and summer overlap.
Schedule
