2026 Kinoshita Park Wading Pool Full-Day Course

This is a one-day course centered on the Kinoshita Park Wading Pool, a childrens pool in Kinoshita Park (木ノ下町7丁目) in the Atsumi district of Gifu City. In 2026 it opens on a total of 28 days between July 18 and August 24, from 13:00 to 16:00. With many opening days, it is an easy water-play spot to slot into the summer holidays. Use is free, and it is intended in principle for children up to the third grade of elementary school. Preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants still in diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and that day is cancelled. In the morning, go up to the observation floor of Gifu City Tower 43 in front of JR Gifu Station (JR岐阜駅) and look out over the Nobi Plain (濃尾平野) and Mt. Kinka (金華山) for free. Then visit Entokuji Temple (円徳寺), linked to the Rakuichi-Rakuza (楽市楽座) edict, and have lunch near the station. In the afternoon, round off the summer day soaking in the shallow water of the Kinoshita Park wading pool.
