2026 Hyakuraku Park Wading Pool (百楽公園 徒渉池) Full-Day Course
This is a one-day course built around the Hyakuraku Park Wading Pool (百楽公園 徒渉池), a children's pool in Hyakuraku Park (百楽公園) in the Aikawa district of Gifu City (加野6丁目25). In 2026 it is open on a total of 23 days between July 21 and August 22, from 13:00 to 16:00. Use is free of charge, and in principle it is for children in the third grade of elementary school or younger. Preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers may not use the pool. The opening days follow the schedule published by Gifu City, so be sure to check it before you set out. In bad weather a red flag is raised at the wading pool and that day is cancelled. In the morning, enjoy the pasture animals and the lawn plaza at the nearby Gifu City Livestock Center Park, then visit the Gifu Prefectural Museum (岐阜県博物館) in Gifu Prefectural Centennial Park (岐阜県百年公園) in Seki City (関市) to explore exhibits on the nature and history of the prefecture. The displays of dinosaurs, fossils and satoyama wildlife also make great hints for summer holiday research projects. In the afternoon, wade into the shallow water of the Hyakuraku Park wading pool and bring the summer day to a close.
