2026 Hirugano Highland Bokka no Sato Splash Pond: Full-Day Course

A full-day highland outing course starring the Hirugano Highland Bokka no Sato splash pond, at a private leisure facility in Takasu-cho, Gujo City (郡上市高鷲町). The splash pond can be used from Saturday, July 4, 2026 through mid-September, from opening time until 16:30. It is a water play area inside the kids park on Hirugano Highland at an altitude of 1,000 meters, and its greatest charm is that the air is cooler than on the plains, making it comfortable even in midsummer. Admission is charged, so check the price on the official website. You may not enter the splash pond in outdoor shoes; you need to go barefoot or bring water sandals. Children who are not yet out of nappies must wear swim nappies, and there is no dedicated changing room. Spend the morning at two places unique to Hirugano Highland. At Watershed Divide Park you can actually see the point where rain that fell in the same place separates and flows to the Pacific Ocean and to the Sea of Japan. At the Hirugano Wetland Botanical Garden you can take your time observing the plants that grow in the highland marsh. After learning where the water comes from and where it goes, you play in that highland water. It is a day that can only be put together in Hirugano.
