A course for a full day of play close to home, starring Urayasu General Park West Area Fountain Plaza (浦安総合公園西地区 噴水広場) in the Urayasu General Park West Area in Minami Ward, Okayama City. In 2026 the water feature is scheduled to run from Monday, June 15 to Wednesday, October 14, from 9:00 to 17:00. Built on a theme of water and greenery, the shallow pool that forms beneath the fountain doubles as a water playground for little ones. Admission is free, and for families it is reassuring that the site also has the largest lawn plaza in the city, large play equipment, and a management office. In the morning, walk the quiet grounds of Munetada Shrine (宗忠神社) in Kaminakano, Kita Ward, Okayama City; at lunch, eat at a relaxed pace at AEON Mall Okayama in front of Okayama Station (岡山駅) and finish your shopping there. In the afternoon, watch light aircraft take off and land near Konan Airport (岡南飛行場), then finally head to the fountain plaza. Moving between the lawn and the water, you can spend the time until evening at an easy pace. On Mondays (Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday) the water is off until 13:30 for cleaning, so if you go on a Monday it is safer to plan an afternoon start. Parking is free for the first two hours, then 100 yen per hour up to 500 yen per day, so bring some coins if you plan to stay long.
