2026 Yakage Town Sports Park Yu-no-Oka Fountain Plaza Full-Day Course
A course built around Yakage Town Sports Park Yu-no-Oka Fountain Plaza in Yakage Town, Oda District, for a full day of play close to home. A large combination play structure and toddler equipment line the natural turf plaza, and in one corner stands a fountain of the type that shoots up from the ground, so there is water play in summer. A roofed rest area, benches and vending machines are all on hand, which is welcome for accompanying adults who need a break. Basic use is free, with some facilities such as the sports grounds charging a fee. The 2026 operating period for the fountain has not been announced, so check the Yakage Town information before you set out. The morning is spent in Yakage-juku, which thrived as a post town on the old Sanyodo highway. At the Former Yakage Honjin Ishii Residence (旧矢掛本陣石井家住宅), designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan, you can view up close how an inn for feudal lords was built. Next comes the Yakage Machiya Exchange Hall for a look at the town's history, and then lunch and unhurried shopping at Sanyodo Yakage-juku Roadside Station. In the afternoon, move to Yu-no-Oka and enjoy water play and the equipment on natural turf until evening. It is a day that feels like Yakage, combining the atmosphere of a post town with a spacious park.
