2026 Sakazu Park (酒津公園) Water Plaza Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of play close to home, starring the Water Plaza at Sakazu Park (酒津公園) in Sakazu, Kurashiki City. Sakazu Park is a comprehensive park themed on water and cherry blossoms, with a water plaza with a fountain, a large combination play structure in the children's plaza, and waterways and pine groves running through the grounds. Because water flows in so many places around the park, the breeze feels cool even in summer, and that is very much this park's character. Admission is free, so you can move back and forth between water play and the play equipment as the mood takes you. The 2026 operating period for the Water Plaza has not been announced, so check the Kurashiki City information before you set out. In the morning, visit the Takahashigawa Tozai Yosui Intake and Distribution Facility (高梁川東西用水取配水施設) right beside the park. It is the intake facility that has watered the fields of the Kurashiki Plain, and it shows that the story of Sakazu's water began here. For lunch, go as far as the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter (倉敷美観地区) and eat while walking through the white-walled townscape. In the afternoon, return to Sakazu Park and play to your heart's content at the fountain and the waterways. It is a day tracing the water of Kurashiki, the kind of day only your own neighborhood can offer.
