2026 Kyogamaru Green Park Water Play Area: A Full Day Course
A course for a full day of play close to home, starring the Kyogamaru Green Park Water Play Area in Ihara City. Kyogamaru Green Park is a large recreation facility spread over hilly ground, with water play available in summer. An 80m long slide, an adventure playground, the indoor play facility Wakuwaku Dragon House, an auto campsite, a putter golf course, and a 300m wisteria trellis are all here, and the great appeal is that a whole day can be built inside the grounds alone. Basic use is free, with some facilities charging a fee. The 2026 opening period for the water play area has not been announced, so check with the facility information before you set out. In the morning, visit the Ihara Municipal Denchu Museum of Art and spend a quiet stretch of time before the works of Hiragushi Denchu, the sculptor Ihara produced. At noon, move to Kyogamaru Green Park, spread out a lunch box on the hill, and then head for the 80m long slide. In the afternoon, send up the spray at the water play area until evening. It is a course only Ihara can offer, linking art and a great outdoor playground in a single day.
