2026 Okayama Forest Park German Forest Splash Pool Full-Day Course

This is a course for a full day of play, starring the Okayama Forest Park German Forest Splash Pool in Akaiwa City (赤磐市). The splash pool has been renovated and is set at a shallow depth suited to children. What makes it special is that it offers more than simply getting into the water: you can slip around behind a waterfall, and there is a fountain that sends water spilling over. A wide wooden deck where you can eat sits right alongside, so you can switch easily between resting and playing in the water. Use of the splash pool is free, but separate admission to German Forest is required. Swimwear or a swim diaper is mandatory; you cannot enter bare, in an ordinary diaper, or in underwear. A guardian must accompany children, eating and drinking in the pool is prohibited, and there are no showers or changing rooms, so plan how you will change clothes before you go. The opening period for 2026 has not been announced, and the pool may close due to weather or maintenance. In the morning, visit the winery standing among the vineyards of Akaiwa; at midday, eat while meeting the animals at German Forest. The day closes with play in the water in the afternoon.
