2026 Suido Park Fountain and Water Curtain Full-Day Course
A course built around Suido Park Fountain and Water Curtain in Miyako City, offering a full day of play close to home. The park's fountain and water curtain run every year from April 15 to October 15, and for children nothing beats being able to walk through the passage behind the falling sheet of water. Use is free of charge. Operating hours change with the season: 9:00 to 17:00 from April 15 to April 30, 9:00 to 18:00 from May 1 to June 30, 9:00 to 20:30 from July 1 to August 31 (the illumination period), and 9:00 to 17:00 from September 1 to October 15. The grounds have benches, tables, drinking fountains and toilets, so even families with small children can relax. In July and August there is evening illumination, and watching the water glow after dark is a pleasure unique to summer. In the morning, visit Jodogahama, one of the signature scenic spots of Sanriku Fukko National Park. Learn about sea life and nature at the visitor center, then walk the shore of white rocks and blue water. Have lunch with Miyako seafood at Michi-no-Eki Miyako - Sea Topia Naado -, and spend the afternoon sending up spray at Suido Park: a day of sea and water that feels quintessentially Miyako.
