2026 Water & Gourmet Park in Izumo ICHIGO-en: A Full-Day Course

This is a course for a full day of fun right at the foot of Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine (出雲大社), starring Water & Gourmet Park in Izumo ICHIGO-en, held at Izumo ICHIGO-en in Taisha-cho, Izumo City. It runs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from Saturday, July 18, 2026 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, for a total of 20 days, from 10:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:00). There is a pool 10 meters long and a dinosaur slider, a changing space is provided, and swimwear must be worn. The pool costs 1,000 yen per person and is for children aged 3 and over up to elementary school age, no taller than 140 cm and no heavier than 50 kg. Guardians and children under 3 are free, which keeps the cost light for a family. The food area is free to enter and can be used for breaks or meals between water play. The event is canceled in stormy weather, so always check the weather and the operating status on the day before you set out. In the morning, visit Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine, just a short walk away, and explore the world of myth and ancient Izumo at the Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo (島根県立古代出雲歴史博物館). After lunch on Shinmon-dori Street (神門通り), finish the day riding the dinosaur slider again and again at Water & Gourmet Park in Izumo ICHIGO-en.
