2026 Sera Prefectural Park Exchange Plaza Mist Fountain: Full Day Course

Sera Prefectural Park, also known as Sera Yume Park, sits on the highlands of Sera Town in Sera District and is home to the Sera Prefectural Park Exchange Plaza Mist Fountain. Mist-like water rises from the ground of the circular Exchange Plaza at regular intervals, and every time it shoots up, cheers from the children echo across the plaza. Both admission and parking are free. Right nearby there is a 31-metre slide, a mini steam train and more, so you can spend the whole day moving back and forth between water play and the playground equipment. Note, however, that the park is closed on Tuesdays, except on public holidays and during event periods, so be sure to check the day of the week. The 2026 opening period has not been announced, so please check the latest information before you set out. This one-day course starts at the Sera roadside station, where local vegetables and fruit are on display. Sera is a town of orchards and highland vegetables. Once you have stocked up on seasonal fruit, have lunch at Sera Winery within the same Sera Yume Park. In the afternoon, get moving on the 31-metre slide before playing in the water at the Exchange Plaza mist fountain. The altitude is high and the air is dry, so it is a highland outing that stays comfortable even in midsummer.
