2026 Tokushima Family Land Water Garden: Full-Day Course
This one-day course stars Tokushima Family Land Water Garden, the summer-only water play area at the amusement park next to Tokushima Zoo in Tokushima City. The outdoor play area Asoban De! Outdoor transforms into the Water Garden for the summer only, offering attractions that spray out lots of water and the Aqua Blaster, where you aim water guns at targets. Sessions run one hour, and the big difference from a park splash pad is that changing rooms and showers are fully equipped. Bring a swimsuit, towel and change of clothes and you can head home clean after playing. Admission to the park is free; using the Water Garden costs one ticket (350 yen), or a free pass (3,500 yen for unlimited rides for the day, sold only on weekends and public holidays). Parking is 310 yen for ordinary cars, 1,310 yen for large vehicles and free for motorcycles. Hours are 9:30 to 16:30 (ticket sales and attractions from 10:00), and the park is closed on Mondays (the following day when Monday is a public holiday). The 2026 operating period has not been officially announced (in past years it ran from the summer holidays through around September), so be sure to check the official website before you set out. In the morning you walk Shibuno Maruyama Kofun, the largest keyhole-shaped burial mound in the prefecture, then visit the adjacent Tokushima Botanical Garden and Tokushima Zoo before the water play. Being usable even in the rain is a reassuring point when planning a summer outing.
