2026 Higashi-Nakatomi Sakura-zutsumi Park Seseragi Plaza Full-Day Course

A full-day course starring the free water play area Higashi-Nakatomi Sakura-zutsumi Park Seseragi Plaza (splash pond) at Higashi-Nakatomi Sakura-zutsumi Park in Aizumi Town. The stage is the large pond and waterfall at the center of the park, where you can play in the water to your heart's content in the pond and stream that continue on from the falls. The pond is filled with tap water, which is reassuring when letting small children play. Behind the waterfall is a rock tunnel, cool inside thanks to a mist, and on hot days children will want to go in and out of it again and again. The park also has Wanpaku Plaza with large combination play structures including rocket-shaped and snake-shaped slides, plus a multipurpose lawn plaza of 3,800 square meters, so there is plenty to enjoy before and after water play. The barbecue area is spring-only and requires reservations. In the morning, learn about the history of indigo dyeing, one of Tokushima's signature industries, at Ai no Yakata (Indigo House), the Aizumi Town history museum, then read picture books in the cool town library before heading to the park. The opening period has not been announced, as neither Aizumi Town nor Tokushima Prefecture has published the water-flow period, so be sure to check local conditions before you set out. There is no fee, so bring swimsuits and towels and enjoy a day by the water close to home.
