2026 Full-Day Course: Sori Green and Flower Park (佐布里 緑と花のふれあい公園) Water Play Area
A day of plentiful local play built around the Sori Green and Flower Park (佐布里 緑と花のふれあい公園) Water Play Area in Chita City. The official announcement only states from July 2026, with no closing date published, but going by past years water play should be available until around late September, from 9:00 to 17:00. The park is closed Mondays and over the New Year holiday. Since the water is shallow, it's easy even for small children to get in, and water-play toys can be borrowed at the reception at the Ume-no-Yakata Hall (梅の館ホール) (limited quantity). Admission is free, and it's recommended to bring a change of clothes and towels. In the morning, visit the Chita City Museum of History and Folklore (知多市歴史民俗博物館) to trace the lives of people who worked with Chita cotton weaving and the sea. Next, head to Shinmaiko Marine Park (新舞子マリンパーク) facing Ise Bay to refresh your mood with views of the sandy beach and the sea. For lunch, spread out a picnic on the shore of Sori Pond (佐布里池), known as a famous plum-blossom spot, and in the afternoon it's finally time for the water play area. Tracing three different faces of water, the sea, the pond, and water play, in a single day is what makes this course interesting. Since the closing date has not been announced, if you visit in September please check the official website for opening status.
