2026 Full-Day Course at the Seseragi Waterway of Seiryu-no-Sato Kawase Park
The Seseragi Waterway at Seiryu-no-Sato Kawase Park in Gosen City is a free water-play area that the city of Gosen officially describes as a popular spot for children's water play. The opening period has not been announced, but in past years it has run through the summer. Please check the current year's situation on Gosen City's official page before you set out. This park is a water-friendly park created by drawing clear streams into the urban area together with abundant groundwater, so the cleanliness of the water is itself the value of the play area. Besides the Seseragi Waterway there is a pond where carp and other fish swim, and children will stand still for a long time just looking down at the surface. Kingfishers and dragonflies can be seen in the woods at the back, and the luxury of this park is that you can keep water play and creature watching going in the same place. In the morning, pay your respects at Gosen Hachimangu Shrine (五泉八幡宮), long cherished as the guardian shrine of Gosen City, and settle into the start of the day in its quiet precincts. Then stop by the Gosen City Library (五泉市立図書館) and prepare for the afternoon by leafing through books about rivers and wildlife in the cool halls. After lunch, move on to Seiryu-no-Sato Kawase Park and play in the water until evening. It is a day of enjoying the blessings of water just as they are, in a town rich in water.
