2026 Full-Day Course: Fudo Park (不動公園) Splash Pond and Stream
Fudo Park in Meguro City has a free water-play area, the Fudo Park Splash Pond and Stream, where water runs only during the summer. The 2026 operating period is from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30, from 9:00 to 16:30. The city's official wording is from the first week of July until around the end of September, and the area cannot be used on the inspection day held roughly once a month. The inspection date and time are posted on site, so it is reassuring to check before you set out. The water is disinfected with chlorine and other treatments, and water-play sandals are recommended. Food and drink may not be brought in and pets may not enter the water, so it works well to spread out your lunch at a nearby park first. The venue is Fudo Park in Meguro City, and right beside it stands Meguro Fudoson (目黒不動尊), known as the oldest Fudo sanctuary in the Kanto region. In the morning, visit Meguro Fudoson and look in at the Meguro Parasitological Museum (目黒寄生虫館), one of the few museums in the world devoted to parasites, then have lunch under the big trees of Rinshi-no-Mori Park. In the afternoon, enjoy plenty of water play at the Fudo Park Splash Pond and Stream until it closes at 16:30. It is a neighborhood outing that works entirely by train and on foot. Everything is free or inexpensive, so it is easy to head out even on a weekday during the summer holidays.
