2026 Konabeno Park Splash Pool / Stream: A Full Day Course

Konabeno Park in Meguro City (目黒区) has a free water-play area open only in summer, the Konabeno Park Splash Pool / Stream. The 2026 season runs from Wed, July 1 to Wed, September 30, from 9:00 to 16:30, which the city officially describes as running from the first week of July to around the end of September. It is closed on maintenance days about once a month, and the maintenance dates and times are posted on site. The water is disinfected with chlorine and similar treatments, and water sandals are recommended. Food and drink may not be brought in and pets may not enter the water, so have lunch somewhere else before you head over. The venue is Konabeno Park in Meguro City, within walking distance of the residential areas of Meguro-honcho (目黒本町) and Himonya (碑文谷). In the morning you look into the pond at Shimizuike Park (清水池公園), where anglers are a constant sight, and visit Enyuji Temple (円融寺), home to Shakado Hall, said to be the oldest wooden building in the wards of Tokyo (東京). At lunch you spread out your meal beside the bamboo grove and old farmhouse of Suzume-no-Oyado Green Park, and in the afternoon comes water play at the Konabeno Park Splash Pool / Stream until the 16:30 close. With the highlights gathered within walking distance, it makes for a neighbourhood outing that feels very much like Meguro (目黒).
