2026: A Full Day at the Meguro Kumin Campus Park Stream

Meguro Kumin Campus Park in Yakumo, Meguro Ward, has a free water Stream to play in. In 2026 it operates from Saturday 25 April to Sunday 8 November, from 10:00 to 16:00, and the ward's official wording is usually from late April to early November. There is an inspection day about once a month, and it cannot be used on that day. The water is disinfected and managed with chlorine and the like. This stream runs for the longest period of any water play area in Meguro Ward, and its great appeal is that you can put your feet in not only at the height of summer but also on mild days in spring and autumn. The venue is Meguro Kumin Campus Park in Meguro Ward, with Yakumo Central Library (八雲中央図書館) and Meguro Persimmon Hall right next to it. In the morning, move your body freely in the vast Komazawa Olympic Park, which extends into Setagaya Ward, and have a bento on the lawn. In the afternoon, cool off and choose a book in the children's corner of Yakumo Central Library, then go straight to the Meguro Kumin Campus Park Stream on the same site for water play until the 16:00 close. Because you can move back and forth between outdoors and indoors, it makes a day that is easy to plan even when the weather is hard to read.
