2026 Tsuruwatari Park Water Play Area: Full-Day Enjoyment Course
Centered on the free water-play spot at Tsuruwatari Park (鶴渡公園) in Ota City, the Tsuruwatari Park Water Play Area (Waterfront Facility) (鶴渡公園 水遊び場(親水施設)), this is a nearby outing course. In 2026, the season runs from around Thursday, April 23 to around Wednesday, September 30, with hours of 10:00-16:00. It's closed for regular cleaning on July 27, August 12, and August 27, and since the closing date isn't officially announced by the ward (late September in past years), check the opening status with Ota City's announcements before you head out. The facility is a fountain-type waterfront facility, with water that's filtered and disinfected (not drinkable). Admission is free, which is the biggest appeal, letting you head out casually on a whim. In the morning, feel the sea breeze at the walkable Omori Furusato no Hamabe Park, then learn about the history of nori (seaweed) production in Tokyo Bay at the neighboring Omori Nori Museum. For lunch, eat well at Tokyu Plaza Kamata near Kamata Station, and rest a while at the rooftop play area. In the afternoon, move to Tsuruwatari Park and play in the fountain's spray until evening. This is a way to spend a summer day using only trains and walking.
Schedule
The ward's only artificial beach. Start the day feeling the morning sea breeze
A museum passing on the history of nori production in Tokyo Bay. Admission free
Lunch at a commercial facility in front of Kamata Station. Take a break at the rooftop play area
Enjoy plenty of water play at the fountain waterfront facility until the 16:00 closing time
