2026 Nakakamata Park Water Play Area: Full-Day Enjoyment Course
Centered on the free water-play spot at Nakakamata Park (仲蒲田公園) in Ota City, the Nakakamata Park Water Play Area (Waterfront Facility) (仲蒲田公園 水遊び場(親水施設)), this is a nearby outing course that takes you walking through the town of Kamata. In 2026, the season runs from around Thursday, April 30 to around Wednesday, September 30, with hours of 10:00-16:00. It's closed for regular cleaning on July 29, August 7, August 14, and August 27, and since the closing date isn't officially announced by the ward (late September in past years), check the opening status with Ota City's announcements before you head out. The facility is a waterfront facility with a fountain, stream, and pond all in one, with water that's filtered and disinfected (not drinkable). Admission is free. In the morning, enjoy shopping and the rooftop play area at Tokyu Plaza Kamata in front of Kamata Station, and have lunch there as well. In the afternoon, visit Kamata Hachiman Shrine, then head to Nakakamata Park. Since the fountain, stream, and pond are all gathered in one spot, you can keep changing how you play and stay entertained right up until 16:00. This is a quintessentially Kamata day that stays entirely within walking distance of the station.
Schedule
Get active at the rooftop play area, then shop and have lunch inside
A guardian shrine near the station. Take a breath in the tree-lined grounds before the afternoon
Play in the water until evening at a waterfront facility with a fountain, stream, and pond
