2026 Ehara Park Splash Pool (江原公園 じゃぶじゃぶ池) Full-Day Course
Ehara Park (江原公園) in Nakano Ward has a free wading pool called Ehara Park Splash Pool (江原公園 じゃぶじゃぶ池) that's open during the summer. In 2026 it operates from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 16, from 10:00 to 16:00. It runs in two sessions, 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00, and is closed at midday for changeover. The pool covers 50 square meters with a water depth of about 35 cm, making it one of the larger pools in the ward, with plenty of room to play freely. The water is tap water, refreshed daily and chlorine-treated, so hygiene is well managed. It closes on rainy days or when the water temperature drops to 22°C or below, so check the weather on the day. The venue is Ehara Park Splash Pool (江原公園 じゃぶじゃぶ池) in Nakano Ward, and admission is free. In the morning, walk through Philosopher's Park (哲学堂公園), a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty, then spread out a picnic in the neighboring Myojoji River Park (妙正寺川公園). In the afternoon, touch on the area's past at the Nakano City Museum of History and Folklore (中野区立歴史民俗資料館) before heading to the afternoon splash session. Philosophy, history, and water play come together in one day, a plan unique to this area.
