2026 Ipponsugi Park Nagare (一本杉公園 流れ) Full-Day Course
This is a self-contained, neighborhood day course centered on Ipponsugi Park Nagare (一本杉公園 流れ) in Ipponsugi Park (一本杉公園), Tama City. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 through Monday, August 31, from 9:00 to 17:00. The shallow, brook-like stream uses tap water managed with chlorine-based disinfectant, giving parents peace of mind when letting small children play. The park also has a baseball field and an old farmhouse, and being able to enjoy both water play and a stroll through history in the same park is this park's special appeal. Admission is free, and you can spend a relaxed time in a quiet setting surrounded by the greenery of the hills. In the morning, visit the Former Tama Seiseki Memorial Hall (旧多摩聖蹟記念館), which stands on the hill of Tokyo Metropolitan Sakuragaoka Park (都立桜ヶ丘公園), and enjoy the view over the Tama hills from the elevated site. Next, at Ono Shrine (小野神社), known as the Ichinomiya of Musashi Province, get a sense of the long history of this old area that opened up along the banks of the Tama River. At midday, move to Ipponsugi Park to spread out a picnic lunch and see how people once lived at the old farmhouse within the park. In the afternoon, finally get into the stream and enjoy water play until evening. The facility is closed for cleaning on Tuesday, July 28; Tuesday, August 4; Monday, August 10; and Tuesday, August 18, so please check Tama City's official website before you set out.
