2026 Tomatsuri Shinsui Park Water Flow Facility Full-Day Course
Centered on the 'Tomatsuri Shinsui Park Water Flow Facility' in Tomatsuri, Utsunomiya City, this one-day course visits an art museum and a hillside park before heading to water play. According to the City of Utsunomiya, in the 2026 season water flows from 10:00 to 16:00, from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 30. Admission is free, and besides the water flow facility, the park has combination play equipment, swings, and a sandbox, with its east side facing the Kamagawa River. The facility is scheduled to close for regular cleaning on July 30 and August 26, so plan around those dates. Bare feet are not allowed in the water, so be sure to bring sandals or other footwear. In the morning, visit the Tochigi Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts, where you can view paintings and sculptures in spacious galleries and stay cool during the hottest part of the day. At midday, move to the shady Hachimanyama Park to spread out a picnic lunch, then get active on the large play equipment. In the afternoon, head to Tomatsuri Shinsui Park and enjoy moving between the flowing water and the sandbox until evening. This is a light, low-travel summer outing that stays entirely on the north side of the city center.
