2026 Full-Day Course: Yanashita Central Park Water Feature
This full-day course centers on the 'Yanashita Central Park Water Feature' in Utsunomiya, combining a small museum in the town center with a gyoza lunch. According to the City of Utsunomiya, for the 2026 season the water flows from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 30, between 10:00 and 16:00. It's free to use, and besides the water feature there is a lawn plaza, a pavilion (azumaya), and horizontal bars, making it easy to rest in the shade while you play. It will be closed on July 31 and August 28 for regular cleaning, so plan around those dates. Bare feet are not allowed in the water, so be sure to bring sandals or other water shoes. In the morning, visit the Utsunomiya Fairy Museum in the town center. The fairy-themed exhibits spark children's imaginations, and being indoors keeps you cool. For lunch, compare gyoza from shops across the city as a family at Kiraffe Honten. In the afternoon, move on to Yanashita Central Park and enjoy the splashing water at the water feature until evening. A course true to Utsunomiya, linking a taste of the town with a day of water play.
