2026 Toiya Children's Park Wading Pool (問屋児童公園 徒渉池) One-Day Course
This is a one-day course centered on the Toiya Children's Park Wading Pool (Infant Pool) (問屋児童公園 徒渉池(幼児用プール)), which appears only in summer at Toiya Children's Park in Kanazawa City. It is open from Thursday, July 23 to Wednesday, August 5, Reiwa 8 (2026), from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is free, and since the wading pool is shallow, it's a great choice for a child's first experience with water play. Only infants and toddlers accompanied by a guardian may use the pool, and elementary school-age children and older are not permitted. Swimwear is required, and disposable diapers or swim diapers may not be used. In the morning, head west from Toiyamachi and spend a cool morning in the picture book corner of the Kanazawa Umimirai Library (金沢海みらい図書館), known for its wave-like exterior. Next, go up to the observation deck of the Kanazawa Port Cruise Terminal (金沢港クルーズターミナル) and enjoy the wide view of passing ships and the Sea of Japan with your family. For lunch, fill up on local seafood at the Kanazawa Port Ikiiki Fish Market (金沢港いきいき魚市). In the afternoon, return to Toiya Children's Park and spend a summer afternoon splashing in the shallow wading pool. The pool closes in the event of rain or other bad weather, so please check the forecast and on-site notices before you set out.
