2026 Full-Day Course: Tsufuku Park Pop Jet Fountain
This is a one-day course centered on 'Tsufuku Park Pop Jet (fountain)', a fountain where water shoots up from the ground at Tsufuku Park in Kurume City. In 2026, it operates from Saturday, July 18 through mid-September (until around Tuesday, September 15), from 10:00 to 17:00. Water bursts from the fountain plaza at the center of the park every 6 minutes, and kids cheer and run around each time the jets rise. No water flows on rainy days, so check the weather before heading out. Admission is free. A large combination play structure newly built in spring 2025 stands alongside, so you can get soaked, dry off on the equipment, and head back to the fountain again. Since this isn't a place for swimming, the right choice is 'clothes that are okay to get wet' and a towel, rather than swimwear. In the morning, head to Ishibashi Cultural Center, a symbol of Kurume. Walk through the spacious gardens (free admission), take in the great fountain and the trees, then enjoy a relaxed lunch at the on-site café. In the afternoon, move to Tsufuku Park for a day of moving back and forth between the water and the play equipment until evening.
Schedule
