2026 Isahaya City Children's Castle Splash Pond (諫早市こどもの城 じゃぶじゃぶ池) Full-Day Course

This is a day course centered on Isahaya City Children's Castle Splash Pond (諫早市こどもの城 じゃぶじゃぶ池), the water play area at this children's facility in the Shiragamine Highlands (白木峰高原), Isahaya City. Isahaya City's August guide notes: During summer vacation (July 18-August 30), Outdoor Play Time starts at 14:00! During this time, splash pond play and outdoor play, please actively head out into nature, so water play really gets going from 2 p.m. Admission is free, and besides the outdoor splash pond, indoors there's a play hall, a play space, a craft space, and a pretend-play space, all surrounded by forest, a botanical garden, a pond, and walking paths. During Outdoor Play Time, the first-floor conference room is opened up as an air-conditioned rest room, so it's reassuring to have somewhere to escape the heat. Opening hours are 9:00 to 17:00, and the facility is closed every Monday (or the following weekday if that Monday is a public holiday). In the morning, encounter the large astronomical telescope and exhibits at the Cosmos Flower and Space Museum (コスモス花宇宙館), on the same highlands, and at lunchtime enjoy a packed lunch on the 330-meter-high highlands while looking out over the Isahaya Plain (諫早平野). In the afternoon, play in the water until evening at the splash pond, where the forest breeze passes through.
