2026 Maisaka Omotehama Park Children's Pool Full-Day Course
This is a course centered on the free 'Maisaka Omotehama Park Children's Pool' at Maisaka Omotehama Park in Chuo Ward, Hamamatsu City, for a full day of nearby fun. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, with two sessions: 9:30–12:00 and 13:00–16:00. It is for elementary-school-age children and younger, and a swim cap is required. Admission is free, and the park also has a children's plaza and play equipment, so the fun can continue even after getting out of the water. In the morning, visit the Edo-period building at the Maisaka-juku Waki-honjin on the old Tokaido Highway, then enjoy the view of Lake Hamana with the red torii gate at Bentenjima Kaihin Park. Touching Lake Hamana's creatures at the indoor Lake Hamana Learning Center WOTT lets you stay cool during the hottest part of the day. After a lunch break, the afternoon is finally time to splash around at the children's pool. Unlike ocean swimming, it is shallow and calm, which is reassuring for small children.
Schedule
Visit the only surviving waki-honjin building on the old Tokaido Highway
Take a commemorative photo with the red torii gate standing in Lake Hamana
Learn while cooling off at an indoor facility where you can touch Lake Hamana's creatures
