2026 Full-Day Course: Heisei Seseragi Park (平成せせらぎ公園)

This course centers on Heisei Seseragi Park (平成せせらぎ公園) in Shizunami, Makinohara City, and lets you spend a full day playing close to home. It's an urban park of about 2,000 square meters with a fountain pond and water channel for water play. In a typical year, water flows from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from July 18 (Sat) through August 31 (Mon). Admission is free. The park has play equipment such as a slide and monkey bars, and since Haibara Children's Center (榛原児童館) is attached to it, it's reassuring to be able to move between outdoor and indoor spaces. There are 20 free parking spaces. In the morning, walk to nearby Shizunami Beach (静波海水浴場). In 2026 it's open from July 17 (Fri) through August 31 (Mon), with swimming hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Walk the wide sandy beach and the water's edge, and take in the sea of Suruga Bay, known for surfing. After cooling off indoors and having lunch, spend the afternoon playing in the fresh water at Heisei Seseragi Park. Experiencing two kinds of water — the sea and the park — in a single day is what makes Shizunami special.
