2026 Karasu Pool Full-Day Course
This one-day course centers on Karasu Pool (香良洲プール) in Tsu City, open from Tuesday, July 21 to Monday, August 31, 2026. The venue is Karasu Park (香良洲公園), which spreads out at the mouth of the Kumozu River (雲出川). This outdoor pool opens only during summer vacation, in a pleasant setting surrounded by pine woods and the sea. In the morning, walk the pine-lined approach to Karasu Shrine (香良洲神社), the guardian shrine of the town of Karasu, then get active at Mie Prefectural Children's Castle (三重県立みえこどもの城) in Matsusaka City. After noon, move on to Karasu Pool and enjoy plenty of water play until evening. Admission is affordable: free for children under elementary school age, 50 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and 200 yen for high school students and older, though prices double for visitors living outside the city. As a local pool where neighborhood children gather, it's also a great fit for families who find large, crowded leisure pools overwhelming. Spend a summer day amid the salty sea breeze and pine-scented wind typical of a seaside park.
