2026 Harima Town Hasuike Elementary School Pool: Full-Day Course
This is a one-day course centered on the 'Harima Town Hasuike Elementary School Pool (school pool open to the public)' in Kako District, Harima Town, Hyogo Prefecture, open from Saturday, July 25 to Thursday, August 13, 2026. It's a water-play spot unique to this season, when the elementary school pool is opened to local families only during summer vacation. With both a large pool and a small pool, siblings of different ages can enjoy it together. The usage fee is 100 yen per person, and it is required for accompanying parents and guardians regardless of whether they enter the water. In the morning, tour the reconstructed pit dwellings at 'Onaka Ruins Park' (大中遺跡公園), where a Yayoi-period settlement site spreads out, then try excavation and fire-starting experiences at the adjacent 'Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Archaeology' (兵庫県立考古博物館). After cooling off in the air-conditioned museum, head to the Hasuike Elementary School pool in the early afternoon. Enjoy a somewhat nostalgic, reassuring kind of water play, unique to a school pool, until evening. It's an unpretentious day trip to savor Harima Town's history and a neighborhood summer.
